ROUGE ROUGE by Shiseido | Review, photos, swatches

December 27, 2016

As a lipstick addict, I'm always on the hunt for new interesting lip products that hit the market. Over this past year, I have been experimenting with high-end brands (and getting a little addicted I must say). One of these brands is Shiseido, a high-quality Japanese brand that specializes in innovative skin care and flattering make-up products to suit every woman's needs.

Rouge Rouge is a new lipstick collection from Shiseido, and the colour red is the star of the collection. As such, the collection is divided into four groups, each with a different take on the classic red. The 16 lipsticks are enriched with hyaluronic acid to plump and moisture the lips and high-quality pigments that help the lipstick cover the lips evenly and last longer.

MURREY RD305 (first photo), is a creamy pink lipstick with a flattering coral hint to it. This colour is one I tend to gravitate towards as tempretures rise and I feel like a flattering natural lipstick. RED QUEEN RD716 (second photo) is a deep nude with red hues, perfect for everyday wear when you feel like a flattering colour that does not grab too much attention. ROUGE RUM PUNCH RD504 (third photo) is a brown plum with red undertones, a dark yet elegant take on the vempy lipstick trend that is strong these days. I find the lipsticks to be comfortable and moisturizing, opaque and quite long lasting. The finish has a sheen to it and requires a touch up after eating, and the lipsticks retail for 145 NIS.
