2017 Beauty Decisions | LA COLLECTION LIBRE DE CHANEL

January 13, 2017

Decisions. Why are they so difficult to make, and why are the good decisions so hard to keep? If you have have been following me on instagram, you have probably seen my photo that encourages us to love ourselves more this year. I feel this is one of the most difficult decisions to keep because we all have our doubts. As far as makeup goes, loving myself more means only using products that put a smile on my face and make me happy, and my preference lately has been high-end products, and especially Chanel. I'm only going to write about a few of my decisions in this post, hoping to return to it when I need a little push towards keeping them, and I hope these decisions will inspire you too.

Don't be afraid to try new things. As far as beauty products go, nail polishes are always a fun way to try out new things. Three new nail polishes join the Chanel family and give us the opportunity to play with interesting textures and unique finishes. Le Vernis Velvet Nail Colour in 542 Pink Rubber is a limited edition, light pink nail polish with a matte finish that gives a clean, crisp look. For those who prefer the mettallic trend, Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in 540 Liquid mirror with its futuristic silver finish is the right choice. If stepping out of your comfort zone is yet a mission to be accomplished in 2017, try giving your nails (and mood) a subtle pink twist with Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in 544 Hyperrose glass. This gorgeous transparant pink will give your nails just a hint of colour and a glossy finish, and will look beautiful as a top coat, too. 13 ml | 165 NIS.

Try to focus on the pink, bright side of life. Adding some pink colour to your cheeks will most likely do the trick, or putting it into other words: fake it till you make it. I have a soft spot for Chanel blushes, especially the pink ones. The new powder blush by Chanel Jouse Contraste Powder Blush in 360 Hyperfresh, will do exactly what its name suggests: make you look healthy and fresh. It is pigmented and has a soft feel, so use a big fluffy brush to spread the colour evenly on your cheeks. 6 grams | 275 NIS.

Be your natural self, but don't forget to dare and be bold. 2016 for me was the year I finally discovered the soft beauty of natural and nude lips. Delicate colours entered my lipstick drawer, but I still managed to keep enough space for the bold lipsticks I am known for. Though I am not a big gloss fan, Rouge Allure Gloss in 137 Super Nude is a pleasant surprise. It has a rich, creamy texture that glides on the lips and coats them with opaque colour that reminds me of a melted lipstick with a shiny finish.

For a night out in the city, a bold lipstick is a statement no one can ignore. Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in 247 Ultraberry is a creamy lipstick with a comfortable formula, rich in colour and texture. I enjoy the combination of the deep tone and the flattering finish that stays put, and makes dark lips an easy task. Gloss, 6ml | 250 NIS, Lipstick, 3.5 grams | 240 NIS.

May the decisions you make for 2017 be good ones, and may you keep them. You are welcome to share them with me if you wish!
