Bourjois Paris Makeup | Review, photos, swatches

 Two
new products by Bourjois were launched lately, and I had the chance to
try them out and bring you my thoughts. A new foundation line Air Mat
was created as a newer and better version of the old and heavy Flower
Perfection Foundation, which is now discontinued. I am not a big fan of
foundation, let alone the creamy-matte ones, but I am always looking for
a foundation that photographs well for my beauty channel.

I’ll
start with what I like, the packaging. It is slim and lightweight and
has a small opening that helps let out just the right amount of product.
It is creamier than foundations I usually gravitate to (Mac’s Face and
Body, for example) and is very powdery, so in my opinion it might not
agree with dry skin. It seems that the company is targeting the product
at those with combination to oily skin, who are seeking high coverage
and longevity, though lately there were some other launches from other
companies, that do the job a little better (Loreal’s Infallible, for
example). The foundation comes in 6 different shades, which can be
problematic for girls with fair skin like myself. In conclusion, though
it is not my personal favourite, I think it can suite girls with
combination skin that doesn’t get too oily through-out the day. You can
purchase it on Feelunique website.
Though
I wasn’t too keen on the foundation, the new eye shadows were right up
my alley, and habe become very loved and usable throughout this month.
The first and favourite one is number 05, that was given the cute name
Mauvie Star. It has a very nice colour pay off and a flattering sheen,
let alone the gorgeous colour. It can be used either wet or dry, a fact I
personally love as I feel it gives me two products in one. Her baby
sister, number 01 Ingenude, is a very light, basic nude, that can be
used all over the lid as a base for a great eye look. If I had to choose
one, it would definately be Mauvie Star, and I would pair it with
Noctum Brun, number 08 from the same serise, for a dramatic smokey eye
look. You can purchase the Little round pots on Feelunique.
